Today in Procrastination

Did you know GoogleMaps does history? You can impose historical maps on ones of today. Here are a couple of screenshots.

This is a world map of 1790 with modern continental borders.

Here's the same map with a close-up on the East Coast.

A little off and no good shot of Maryland. Let's go back to 1733 with a shot of the Chesapeake Bay region.

Notice 'Kent C.' on Kent Island and 'Chester B.' This next map is of the United State 1833.

Is it just me, or does the Age of Jackson seem pretty boring?

Just realized that the first pic should've been captioned, 'Photo by Ye Olde Hubble.'
